The clean room version of the HÅG Capisco Puls 8010 combines the iconic saddle seat with an upholstery built for controlled environments. It is upholstered in anti-static synthetic leather by Nevotex and has passed an independent air cleanliness test according to ISO 14644, class 4–5. That makes it a proven choice for cleanrooms, laboratories, pharmaceutical production and electronics assembly.

Like every Capisco, the seat can be set to low, high and even semi-standing working positions, so you keep moving while staying well balanced.

CLEAN ROOM SUITABILITY

• ISO 14644 class 4–5 approved – air cleanliness test passed with the chair upholstered in anti-static Nevotex synthetic leather (price group 3).
• GMP Grade D and higher – for Grade D cleanrooms, any chair meeting ISO 8 or cleaner is sufficient. With ISO class 4–5, the Capisco Puls Clean Room comfortably exceeds that requirement.
• Anti-static upholstery – the Nevotex synthetic leather helps prevent static build-up, important around sensitive electronics and processes.
• Easy to clean and disinfect – the chair is made mainly of solid materials, with only a small upholstered area in the centre of the seat. Smooth, closed surfaces can be wiped down with 70% ethanol.
• 5-year warranty – Flokk provides a 5-year warranty on clean room chairs, on condition that castors and upholstery are cleaned regularly with a suitable cleaning agent.

INDEPENDENT TEST RESULTS

The HÅG Capisco Puls 8010 was tested by CIT Energy Management AB in a cleanroom test chamber at Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg, Sweden), with unidirectional HEPA-filtered airflow and a test person in full cleanroom garments. The chair was compared with a reference chair without padding or moving parts.

• Negligible particle generation – particles from the chair were negligible compared to those from the person using it.
• Cleanroom class unchanged – the working zone kept the same cleanroom class with the Capisco Puls as with the reference chair.
• Worst-case stress tests – adjusting seat angle and seat height continuously still kept the working zone within ISO class 4.
• No microbial contamination – after deliberate contamination by bare hands, no microbes could be detected on seat and backrest once rinsed with 70% ethanol.
